Hmm. Did I come up with that?
Are our thoughts truly our own?

In life everything is constantly changing and in movement.
The tides, climate, people, the planets, our thoughts and ideas.  All are collectively acting out as a large blob (so to speak) in constant stream creating different random electromagnetic spurts of energy that all (collectively) behave in total synchronicity and chaos and the same time.

Confused?  So, am I.  Especially when that very thought was apparently sprouted from this very same blob called consciousness.

So, what is consciousness?

"Human consciousness is just about the last surviving mystery. A mystery is a phenomenon that people don't know how to think about - yet.” Daniel C. Dennett (Consciousness Explained)

  • Is it a constant stream of energy, thoughts, ideas, feelings, people, and emotions amongst other invisible energies all supercharged waiting for their next point of contact or distribution?
  • If our lives are a constant stream of downloads from consciousness are our thoughts truly ours?

And if so, who is in charge of our minds?

What lies ahead of you if you just allo
What would lie ahead of us if we just allow the horizon to reveal itself?

Should we pursuit for improvement of ourselves or should we just put our map down and see what lies in the horizon?
Christopher Columbus had a plan.  He wanted to discover new land to report back to Queen Isabella with the new promise of hope, riches and discoveries.  Nothing has changed for humanity since 1492, in our ‘pursuit’ of happiness there is always a new promise, a new way, a new hope, a new innovation and so on.

There is also  always something to reach for, and we never seem to grasp it.  As soon as we get it, another tip, discovery or a new way to live our lives is set in front of us.  Nothing has changed since our fellow and courageous discoverer's of this world.
  • So, when it comes to personal growth and spirituality is there such a thing as constant striving or achieving?
  • Are we supposed to continue to evolve our vision of ourselves?
  • Is there always something better that we need to be aiming for?
Personally, I have invested a considerable amount of time and money in seminars, conferences, systems and books.  All have helped and very much honour the authors and speakers.

So, the pondering question for today is…

Should we pursuit to improvement of ourselves or should we just put our map down and see what lies in the horizon?
